HOW TO REGISTER FOR YMCA PROGRAMS:

  • You may register in person by stopping by the YMCA Member Service Desk.
  • You may register on this web site by clicking the On-Line Registration Button found at the top of this web page.
  • You may download and print some registration forms at www.oilcityymca.org/resources and mail the completed form along with: your payment.
  • You may call us at 677-3000.  Please have your credit card ready.

NERF NIGHTS

Nerf Nights is a fun and organized activity for youth ages 4+.  Nerf Nights is held on the last Tuesday of the month (starting September 24) from 6:30—8:00 pm.   Players are divided into teams.  Safety glasses are Nerf darts are provided.  Equipment is available to rent at the YMCA. Pre-registration is required.  Call 814-677-3000.  $3/Members and $6/ Non-Members.  Nerf gun rentals are $2.  Children age 4-7 must have an adult present.

TODDLER TIME

Toddler Time offers little ones a safe environment to walk, run, tumble, climb, jump and explore. Songs, games and equipment will provide a structured and active playtime while developing physical strength, flexibility, confidence and social skills.   Classes require parent or caregiver participation.  Classes will be held Wednesdays from 10:15 to 11: 00 am in the gymnasium.  Monthly Fee:  FREE/Members and $15/ Non-Members.

YOUTH HOCKEY

Dek Hockey is held at the Hasson Heights Hockey Dek.  Visit our website, www.oilcityymca.org for current     programs.  Please register at the YMCA or through the online portal at www.oilcityymca.org.

YOUTH ROLLER HOCKEY

Drills and scrimmages every session will allow skill development for all participants.  Divisions for ages 4—17 based on age, skill level and player safety.  Roller Hockey meets on Saturdays and one weeknight each week, weather permitting, September 7 through October 19, for approximately one hour per visit.  Register online at www.oilcityymca.org, at the YMCA, or by calling Mike Ebert at 814-758-9984. Cost is $15/Member and $20/Non-member.

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL

The Oil City YMCA has teamed up with the NFL to bring you NFL Flag Football powered by USA Football for grades 1-5.  In this program, players will participate in both the skills and drills aspect of the game, along with live gameplay.  Practices take place on Tuesdays at the Hasson Heights Sports Field and will last 8 weeks starting Tuesday, September 10 (5:30—6:30 pm).  Each player will receive a free NFL reversible jersey of their favorite team.  Younger, less experienced players will play for the AFC and the older, more experienced players will play for the NFC.  Cost is $35 for members and $55 for non-members.

FALL SOCCER

This six week soccer program begins September 7 for ages 3-4 (9 am), ages 5-6 (10 am),  grades 1-2 (11:30 am) and grades 3-5 (12:45 pm).  The program will teach skills through fun drills for the first three weeks.  Games will be played during the remaining three weeks.  Teams will be formed for each age group. Soccer meets on Saturday mornings.  All participants receive a t-shirt.  $27/Members and $45 Non-Members.

KIDS YOGA

A Yoga for kids is an exciting program held on Tuesdays from 6:15-7 pm that will help with balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic skills.  Yoga for kids can help your child socially and academically by providing a better focus, increased memory, and improved behavior.  Nicole Shreve teaches the class.  All supplies are provided.  $25/Members; $40 Non-members or $6/Members, $10/Non-members per class.

FREE YMCA FOOD PROGRAM

Our Food Program is offered free to any child through the age of 18.  Healthy meals are offered Monday and Thursday evenings throughout the school year from 6:30—7:30 pm in the multipurpose room.  Enrichment activities including homework help, swimming, open gym and games are available 5:30 –6:30 pm. Program begins Sept. 5.

YOUTH DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT

The Oil City YMCA Dodgeball Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 26th starting at 10 am.  The tournament will be available for youth in grades 3-12.  Teams will be split into playing divisions based on age, grade and gender.  Playing divisions will be available for boys, girls and co-ed divisions.  Teams can consist of up to 8 players, 6 of which will take the court at a time.  Tournament is round robin style.  $40 per team.

SCHOOL AGE TUTORING PROGRAM at the Y

Tutoring for students in grades K-6. Jessica Faunce is a certified teacher who can help your child increase academic skills. Individualized instruction will be provided based on needs.

30 minutes:  $15; 60 minutes:  $25

  • Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays 5-7 pm
  • Other times by appointment

INTRO TO FITNESS—Teens Ages 13-15

Work out with our personal trainers in a fun and educational setting.  The focus of the class will be on weight training and proper gym etiquette.  This program meets on  Tuesdays from 3:30—4:30 pm.  The class is limited to five participants.  Please register in  advance at the Member Services Desk to reserve a spot.  Intro to Fitness is free to YMCA Members and others will pay $20 a month.

TEEN ADVENTURE CLUB—Ages 12-18

Members of the club will have opportunities to experience adventures like zip lining, hiking trips, kayaking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, paintball and more.  To participate in the adventure, members will earn the privilege by volunteering for service activities within the community.  For more information contact Jen Kissell-Dudek at 814-677-3000.  New members are always welcome.  Adventure Club meets the first Wednesday of the month,  6 pm at the YMCA.  Cost: FREE!

SEVENTH GRADE INITIATIVE

Bring your school ID or report card to claim your FREE YMCA Membership during your 7th grade year.  Offer good for those currently in 7th grade.
