Former University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown coach and stand out basketball player Jodi Gault will host a basketball clinic for boys and girls in grades three through eight at the Oil City YMCA in April and May.

Area youth from Venango and surrounding counties are invited to attend the clinic.

Jodi Gault is a former Pitt-Johnstown Women’s Basketball Coach and one of the most successful women’s basketball coaches in the NCAA Division II. In her twenty-five year career, Gault made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances, attended five regional championships and earned a trip to the Final-Four. She led Pitt-Johnstown to a 540-156 record in 25 years from 1982 – 2007. She has coached 20 All-Americans.

The clinic will include fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, and rebounding. The program will also include one-on-one contests, and three-on-three contests, free throw shooting, hot spot shooting, and Mikan competitions.

The clinic will be held at the Oil City YMCA and will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. April 23, 24, 30 and May 1, 7, 8, 14 & 15

Pre-registration is required by April 15.

The cost for the entire clinic (eight sessions) is $50.00 for YMCA members and $75.00 for non-members. Athletes may attend by the session for $15.00/members, $25.00/non-members.
