Burn calories and improve cardiovascular endurance in this non-impact class. Class provides motivating music and is modified for all levels!
Our body bar class emphasizes full-body conditioning through every range of motion. This class focuses on muscular strength, stamina, and agility.
Build muscle strength and endurance with techniques that use body bars, dumbbells, balls and tubes. This is a total body class that will strengthen all the muscle groups. Finish the class off with a great stretch.
Dance & Tone
Dance & Tone is a fun overall body workout to music, designed to burn calories and tone arms, abs, thighs and bums. A great class recommended for everyone.
Walk off the Pounds
Walk off the Pounds is a new group exercise class meeting on Tuesdays from 11 – 11:45; walk up to 3 miles in our group exercise studio; video format taught by Doug and Marcia Fox; great for individuals new to exercise or to those who have been working out for years; try it out!
The class begins with dynamic stretches, which warm the body and increase flexibility through movement. Restorative stretch helps maintain mobility, prevent injury and increase physical performance.
Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities.
Cycle + Core
Burn calories and improve cardiovascular endurance in this non-impact class. Class provides motivating music and is modified for all levels! Finish up with 15 minutes of core blast!
Breath & Relaxation
Focus on the art of breathing with Dave McClellan. This class gives you the tools needed to keep your range of motion, muscle flexibility, and appropriate breathing techniques.
Dance away your stress while you burn calories in our new Cardio Dance class. This high energy class is set to music. Cardio Dance makes exercise more like fun.
SilverSneakers Fitness Program
The nation’s leading fitness program for older adults. Available to qualified members of a participating Medicare health plan. Check with your health plan provider to see if you qualify. Ask at the YMCA Membership Desk for details.
Monthly Fee for the following SilverSneakers® classes: free for YMCA Members, SilverSneakers® and Silver and Fit Members, $25 for non-members.
SILVER CLASSIC T/TH 8:15-9:00 am in the Fitness Studio
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. Please wear athletic shoes, comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water.
SILVER CIRCUIT M/W/F 8:30-9:15 am in the Fitness Studio
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises. Please wear athletic shoes, comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water.
SILVERSPLASH M/W/F 11:45 am-12:45 pm in the Pool
Activate your urge for variety. Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination. Please wear water shoes and bring water in a plastic bottle.
SENIOR STRENGTH THURS. 11:00 am-11:45 am in the Fitness Studio
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. A variety of strength training equipment is utilized for a total body workout.
