YMCA TURKEY TROT
The annual Oil City YMCA Turkey Trot will be held Saturday, November 21 at the Samuel Justus Recreation Trailhead in Oil City. Walk or Run the race as a team or individual. Long sleeve T-shirts will be ordered for all participants who pre-register. Online registration is available at www.runsignup.com. We are also offering a VIRTUAL race for anyone who cannot participate on Saturday, November 21. Register and run the race on your own time, pick-up your t-shirt at the YMCA.
ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The YMCA Adult Basketball league begins on Wednesday, November 11, with games beginning at 6:30 pm. All games will be held on Wednesday evenings. All players must be 18+ to compete in the league. League will consist of a round robin regular season with 6 guaranteed games. A single elimination playoff tournament will complete the season. Register for $275 per team of up to 12 players. TAE KWON DO
Tae Kwon Do is held at the Oil City YMCA for ages 6-adult. Class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00—7:30 pm with Chris Blauser, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Youth and adults may participate together. Cost: $22/members; $32/non-members for 6 weeks.

FALL PUMPKIN PAINTING EVENT

Sign up at the Membership Desk by October 7, 2020 and join us for pumpkin decorating in the multipurpose room. We’ll have 10 mini pumpkins and materials for decorating. Feel free to bring your own pumpkin!
Tae Chi embraces the mind, body and spirit – Originating in ancient China, tai chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body. The class is free for veterans! More details about the start of this program are coming soon.
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. The game is played in the YMCA gymnasium and utilizes a paddle and a pickleball. The YMCA has three pickleball courts for casual and competitive play. Beginners are encouraged to attend Wednesday mornings to learn the game and skills from more experienced players. FREE for Members; $5 Drop-in fee for non-members.

GET LEAN FOR HALLOWEEN
Scare away extra calories this Halloween! The average American consumes between 3,500 and 7,000 calories from candy during Halloween. We challenge our Y members to burn a minimum of 3,000 calories from October 25-31. Earn a challenge t-shirt for participating. $12/members.
CARDIAC REHABILITATION – PHASE III & HEALTHY FRIENDS GROUP EXERCISE PROGRAM
For individuals having completed Cardiac Rehab Phase I and Phase II or for those who would like supervision in an exercise program. Program offered between the hours of 7:30 and 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Monthly fee $15 members/$25 non-members.
Train three times a week by appointment with a personal coach. Monthly fee $50 members/$75 non-members.

SMART START PROGRAM – FREE PROGRAM FOR NEW MEMBERS
Smart Start is a program that provides you with the tools you need to reach your fitness goals in the first month of your membership. The program is customized to your needs and will help you set attainable goals and provide the ongoing support necessary for your success. In three short meetings, we can take you from an exercise skeptic to a confident individual who is excited about working out. In just a few sessions, you will gain the tools and resources that will help you succeed! Register at the Membership Desk. The program is free.
Under the direction of a YMCA Trainer, we’ll assess your cardiovascular fitness and endurance. You will also be weighed and measured along with a flexibility, strength and endurance test. This will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and help you to determine a work out plan to achieve your fitness goals. FREE for members by appointment.
