ADULT AQUATICS

The Oil City YMCA has a 6-lane heated pool offering open swim, water exercise programs, swim lessons, youth and adult competitive swim team and a variety of seasonal activities!

Water Exercise Classes offer fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD COURSE

Learn CPR, AED, First Aid and lifesaving skills in this American Red Cross Lifeguard Course held November 16-20 online; November 21 & 22in water sessions at the YMCA. Must be 16 and pass a swim test.  Contact Jen Kissell at 814-677-3000 for more information.

SWIM TEAM

Masters Swim Team is available to adult members age 18-99 looking for a great workout and a way to measure swimming results.  Practice in your free time during the week. Monthly meets are virtual.  A championship meet is planned for end of the season.  $30/Members; $50/non-members

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

Four 30 minute lessons a month, once a week. Adult Monthly fee: $60 members/$80 non-members. By arrangement with the aquatics director.

WATER EXERCISE

ARTHRITIS AQUATIC PROGRAM

A series of gentle exercises to improve joint mobility and relieve pain and stiffness.  Class meets in the YMCA pool.  M/W/F 9-9:45 am.  Monthly fee:  Free for Members; $40/month for Non-members.

AQUA AEROBICS—FREE FOR MEMBERS

An excellent form of exercise in the pool which is easy on the joints and offers all the benefits of a cardiovascular workout.  Monthly Fees: FREE to YMCA Members

  • M/W/F 10:30-11:15 am $40/Non-members
  • T/TH 9:30-10:30 am $27/Non-members
  • M/W 7:30 pm-8:30 pm $27/Non-members

SILVERSPLASH

Activate your urge for variety. Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination. Please wear water shoes and bring water in a plastic bottle.

  • Free to YMCA Members; $25/month for Non– members
