FREE Memberships for Area 7th Grade Students

Did you know that the Oil City YMCA offers 7th Grade Students a Free Membership? Registering for the FREE membership is EASY! Just come to the YMCA and present a recent student I.D. or Report Card.

YMCA Food Program

The Oil City YMCA offers weekly meals to local youth on Monday and Thursday evenings during the school year from 6:30 -7:30 pm. Enrichment activities will also be provided.

 

FALL SOCCER

This six week soccer program begins September 8 for ages 3-4 (11 am—11:45 am), ages 5-6 (12–1 pm), grades 1-2 (1:15—2:15 pm) and grades 3-5 (1:15 - 2:15 pm). The program will teach skills through fun drills for the first two weeks.Games will be played during the remaining four weeks.Teams will be formed for each age group. Soccer meets on Saturday mornings.All participants receive t-shirts. $25/Members and $40 Non-Members.

 

 

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL

The Oil City YMCA has teamed up with the NFL to bring you NFL Flag Football powered by USA Football for grades 1-5.In this program, players will participate in both the skills and drills aspect of the game, along with live gameplay. Practice takes place on Saturdays at the Oil City High School Practice Field and will last 8 weeks starting Saturday, September 8 (9 am –10 am).Each player will receive a free NFL reversible jersey of their favorite team.Younger, less experienced players will play for the AFC and the older, more experienced players will play for the NFC.Cost is $35 for members and $55 for non-members.

 

FALL TEE-BALL

Learn the fundamentals of baseball & softball while having fun in YMCA Fall Tee Ball for ages 3-6.Tee ball begins Thursday, September 13 and lasts six weeks.Fall Tee Ball is held Thursdays at Mitchell Avenue fields from 5:30—6:15 for ages 3-4 and 6:30—7:30 for ages 5-6.$20/Members and $35/Non-Members.

TAE KWON DO

Classes meet on Wednesdays in the multipurpose room with Grand Master Williams and Chris Blauser from 6:30—8 pm.Six week session fee is $22 Members and $32 Non-Members.

TUMBLE TIME

Tumble Time offers toddlers a safe environment to walk, run, tumble, climb, jump and explore. Songs, games and equipment will provide a structured and active playtime while developing physical strength, flexibility, confidence and social skills. Classes require parent or caregiver participation. Class will be held from September through May on Wednesdays from 10:15 - 11:00 am in the gymnasium and is free to Members and $15 monthly for non-members

 

SCENIC RIVERS YOUTH ROLLER HOCKEY

Drills and scrimmages every session will allow skill development for all participants. Divisions for ages 4—14 based on age, skill level and player safety. Roller Hockey meets at the Hasson Heights Dek Hockey facility. Register online at www.oilcityymca.org, at the YMCA, or by calling 814-673-5072.  Visit the Dek Hockey page for more information.

 

COMMUNITY YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Community Youth Volunteer Program is open to Venango County youth between the ages of 10 and 18.  Participants in the program earn "time dollars" for each hour they volunteer up to 80 hours per calendar year.   The "time dollars" are credited to the volunteer's account at the rate of $4 per hour.  The value of the hours volunteered can be redeemed for gift cards.  LEARN MORE

 

FLIP & DIP

This program is held Thursdays, September through May, from 5 pm to 6 pm for ages 3, 4 & 5. Children begin with a half hour gymnastics lesson and then head to the pool for a 30 minute swim lesson with the beginner swim class. Parents must be present to help with the transition. Hint: Girls wear swimsuits for gymnastics and boys wear their trunks and a t-shirt for fast change. Monthly fee: $20 for members and $40 for non-members.

FUNDAMENTAL GYMNASTICS 

Youth ages 3+ are introduced to skills in bar, vault, beam and floor routines. For children wanting to pursue cheerleading and gymnastics, this program will help increase strength, flexibility and agility. Fundamental Gymnastics meets Monday & Thursday from 5—6 pm from September through May. Monthly fee is $32/Members and $55/Non-Members.

GYMNASTICS TEAM

The gymnastics team consists of gymnasts who have the desire to compete. The Oil City YMCA Tri-Stars compete at levels 2-9. Team practices are Monday/Thursday 5:30-8:30 pm and other times TBA. Team Fee is $50 per month. For more information, please call Head Coach Becky Berry at 814-677-3000.

TEEN ADVENTURE CLUB

Adventure Club is for boys and girls ages 12-18. Members of the club will have opportunities to experience adventures like zip lining, hiking trips, kayaking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, paintball and more. To participate in the adventure, members will earn the privilege by volunteering for service activities within the community. For more information contact Jen Kissell-Dudek, Aquatic Director at 814-677-3000. New members always welcome. Adventure Club meets the first Wednesday of the month, 6pm at the YMCA.   *Funded through a grant by the Youth Philanthropy Program.

CAMP COFFMAN ACTIVITIES

YMCA Camp Coffman is owned and operated by the Oil City YMCA for year-round rentals, weddings, cabin rentals and seasonal activities by appointment.

TEEN INTRO TO FITNESS

Teens ages 12-15 will work out with a wellness coach in a fun and educational setting. The focus of the class will be on weight training and proper gym etiquette. This program meets on Wednesdays from 3:30—4:30 pm. The class is limited to five participants. Please register in advance at the Member Services Desk to reserve a spot. Intro to Fitness is free to YMCA Members and others will pay $20 a month.

 

PEAK PERFORMANCE TRAINING

Athlete focused workout programs for high school athletes and teams. The workouts will focus on off-season training and development. Now scheduling summer training. $125/Athlete for 6 week sessions.

HALLOWEEN HARVEST FESTIVAL

Friday, October 26 from 6—8:30 pm FREE Event for the Community! Arrive in costume and trick-or-treat at the YMCA. Join the costume parade! Win great prizes! Activities include games, pool party, facepainting, crafts, costume parade, prizes, bounce house, concessions, drinks and snacks!

 

FLIP N DIP

A 30 minute gymnastics lesson followed by a 30 minute beginner swim lesson for ages 3-5.*Hint:Kids wear swimsuits for the gymnastics lesson for a quick transition.Parents must stay for the program to help with the transition. Register by the first of each month.Held Thursdays from 5-6:05 pm.
