Did you know that the Oil City YMCA offers 7th Grade Students Free Memberships. Register for the FREE membership is EASY! Just come to the YMCA and present a student I.D. or Report Card.

INDOOR SOCCER

Youth indoor soccer will focus on fundamentals, basic skills, teamwork and sportsmanship for ages 3-11. This clinic begins Saturday, March 24 and lasts five weeks. Groups will be formed for ages 3-4 (10 am), ages 5-6 (11 am) and grades 1-5 (12:15 pm). Indoor soccer meets on Saturday mornings. Register at the YMCA. All participants receive t-shirts. $25 for Members and $40/Non-Members.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE

May 12, 2018 from 6-8 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the YMCA in April.

OUTDOOR TEE BALL

T-ball for ages 3-6 teaches basic baseball skills like running bases, batting, throwing, and catching. This six week program will start with three weeks of skills followed by three weeks of learning through t-ball games. Teams will be formed for ages 3-4 (5:30—6:15 pm) and ages 5-6 (6:30-7:30 pm). The program will begin on Tuesday, May 22 and meet each week on Tuesday evenings at Mitchell Little League Field. All participants receive t-shirts. Parent participation is encouraged. $20/Members and $35/Non-Members.

OUTDOOR SPRING SOCCER

This six week soccer program begins Saturday, June 2 for age 3 through grade 5. The program will teach skills through fun drills for the first two weeks. Games will be played during the remaining four weeks. Teams will be formed for ages 3-4 (9:30 am-10:30 am), ages 5-6 (10:45 am—11:45 am), grades 1-5 (12:00—1:00 pm). All participants receive t-shirts. $25 for Members/$40 for Non-Members.

TAE KWON DO

The whole family can participate in Tae Kwon Do at the YMCA.  Tae Kwon Do is for ages 6 through adult.  Classes meet on Friday from 6:00 - 7:30 pm in the gym.  Sessions last 6 weeks:

SESSION 1:  April 14 - May 19

SESSION 2:  June 2 - July 7

Register at the front desk prior to the start of each session.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER

This six week soccer program begins Saturday, June 2 for grades 6-8. The program will be held outside and will consist of live gameplay each week. Spring Soccer meets on Saturday from 1:15—2:15 pm at the Hasson fields. All participants receive t-shirts. $25 for Members/$40 for Non-Members.

 

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

The 3-on-3 will be held May 12 at the Oil City YMCA for ages 9 and up! Teams can consist of either 3 or 4 players. Separate divisions available for players based on skill level/experience, age, and gender. Divisions will likely be 3rd through 5th grade, 6th and 7th grade, 8th and 9th grade, 10th – 12th grade, and 18 years of age and up (must have graduated high school). The tournament will begin at 9 am. Register by May 10. Cost is $40/team.

 

TUMBLE TIME FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Tumble Time offers toddlers a safe environment to walk, run, tumble, climb, jump and explore. Songs, games and equipment will provide a structured and active playtime while developing physical strength, flexibility, confidence and social skills.  Classes require parent or caregiver participation.  Class will be held on Wednesdays from 10:15 - 11:00 am in the gymnasium and is free to Members and $15 monthly for non-members.

SPLASH WEEK

APRIL 23—27, 2018

Free Swim Program for Kids ages 5-12. Splash Week lesson plans are designed for children who are non-swimmers. Learn basic swimming skills and important water safety.

Session A: 4:30—5:00 pm; Session B: 5:00—5:30 pm

2018 SUMMER DAY CAMP

Summer Day Camp makes a great gift for a child. Stop by they YMCA and pick up a gift certificate for Summer 2018! Summer Day Camp for ages 6-12 offers exciting outdoor programming, horseback riding, archery, arts, character building, and physical activity. The program is held at Camp Coffman during the 12 weeks of summer.


 

SCENIC RIVERS YOUTH ROLLER HOCKEY

Drills and scrimmages every session will allow skill development for all participants. Divisions for ages 4—14 based on age, skill level and player safety. COMMUNITY YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The Community Youth Volunteer Program is open to Venango County youth between the ages of 10 and 18.  Participants in the program earn "time dollars" for each hour they volunteer up to 80 hours per calendar year.   The "time dollars" are credited to the volunteer's account at the rate of $4 per hour.  The value of the hours volunteered can be redeemed for gift cards.  LEARN MORE

FLIP & DIP

This program is held Thursdays from 5 pm to 6 pm for ages 3, 4 & 5. Children begin with a half hour gymnastics lesson and then head to the pool for a 30 minute swim lesson with the beginner swim class. Parents must be present to help with the transition. Hint: Girls wear swimsuits for gymnastics and boys wear their trunks and a t-shirt for fast change. Monthly fee: $20 for members and $40 for non-members.

FUNDAMENTAL GYMNASTICS

Youth ages 3+ are introduced to skills in bar, vault, beam and floor routines. For children wanting to pursue cheerleading and gymnastics, this program will help increase strength, flexibility and agility. Fundamental Gymnastics meets Monday & Thursday from 5—6 pm. Monthly fee is $32/Members and $55/Non-Members.

GYMNASTICS TEAM

The gymnastics team consists of gymnasts who have the desire to compete. The Oil City YMCA Tri-Stars compete at levels 2-9. Team practices are Monday/Thursday 5:30-8:30 pm and other times TBA. Team Fee is $50 per month. For more information, please call Head Coach Becky Berry at 814-677-3000.

TEEN ADVENTURE CLUB

Adventure Club is for boys and girls ages 12-18. Members of the club will have opportunities to experience adventures like zip lining, hiking trips, kayaking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking, paintball and more. To participate in the adventure, members will earn the privilege by volunteering for service activities within the community. For more information contact Jen Kissell-Dudek, Aquatic Director at 814-677-3000. New members always welcome. Adventure Club meets the first Wednesday of the month, 6pm at the YMCA.

OIL CITY YMCA GIRLS AND BOYS BASKETBALL CLINIC with JODI GAULT

Instruction for girls and boys in grades 3-8 will include fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, rebounding. The program will also include 1-vs-1 contests, and 3-vs-3 contests, free throw shooting, hot spot shooting, and Mikan competitions. The clinic will take place April 17, 18, 24, 25 and May 1, 2, 8, 9 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-7 pm. Jodi Gault is a former Pitt-Johnstown Women's Basketball Coach and one of the most successful women’s basketball coaches in the NCAA Division II. She led Pitt-Johnstown to a 540-156 record in 25 years from 1982 – 2007. She has coached 20 All-Americans. Cost for the entire clinic (8 sessions): $50/members, $75/non-members, Cost per session: $15/members, $25/non-members.

 


 

 

TEEN INTRO TO FITNESS

Teens ages 12-15 will work out with a wellness coach in a fun and educational setting. The focus of the class will be on weight training and proper gym etiquette. This program meets on Wednesdays from 3:30—4:30 pm. The class is limited to five participants. Please register in advance at the Member Services Desk to reserve a spot. Intro to Fitness is free to YMCA Members and others will pay $20 a month.

 

 

PEAK PERFORMANCE TRAINING


Athlete focused workout programs for high school athletes and teams. The workouts will focus on off-season training and development. Now scheduling summer training. $125/Athlete for 6 week sessions
