Did you know that we offer Child Watch for children ages 8 months to 7 years while their parents work out in the YMCA facility?

9:00 am - 11:30 am Monday through Friday and 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Monday and Wednesday. This service is FREE FOR YMCA MEMBERS, $2 per hour per child for non-members.

MEMBER LUNCHEONS

Luncheons are held monthly at the Oil City YMCA. Gather with friends and socialize while eating some great food! We ask that you pre-register prior to each luncheon and bring a covered dish to share!

ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Winter adult basketball league begins Tuesday, January 16. Teams can consist of 7-12 players.  The league will consist of a round robin regular season, followed by a playoff format determined by the number of teams that participate.  Referees are needed.  Please contact Max Krepps for more inforamtion.  Cost:  $265/Team; Sponsorships welcome.

HOLIDAY HOOPS 4-VS-4 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Get ready for some full-court 4-on-4 basketball action and great prizes on Saturday, January 6th, beginning at 10 am.  Our Holiday Hoops Tournament will feature round robin play, followed by single elimination playoff.  Teams consist of 4-6 players, all of whom must be 18 or older.  Contact Max Krepps for more information.  COST:  $65/Members & Non-members

ADULT ROLLER HOCKEY

Adult Roller Hockey Leagues are held throughout the year at the Hasson Heights Dek Hockey Facility. You don’t need a team. Our Roller Hockey Staff will connect you with players of your skill level. Beginner Leagues are also available! Please visit the DEK on the Y website or contact Max Krepps at 814-677-3000 if you have questions.

PICKLEBALL

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. The YMCA will provide equipment needed, or you may bring your own. Pickleball open play for all ages will be available on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am—12 pm and on Saturday from 8 am—10 am (December) and Saturday from 8 am - 9 am (January/February). TAE KWON DO

--for ages 6 through adult. Class meets on Fridays from 6 - 7:30 pm in the gym. Sessions fee $22 Members, $32 Non-members.

MEMBER FITNESS CHALLENGES

DECEMBER - MILES OF FUN- Track your miles in the wellness center, track or pool. Record your progress.  How many miles will you complete in December.

JANUARY - 2018 IN 2018 - Achieve 2018 minutes of exercise from January 2 to March 2. Minutes must be completed and tracked at the Oil City YMCA. Complete the challenge and be entered into a giveaway.  Complete the challenges with a buddy and receive two chances to win.

Choose your combination of classes. Participate in one or all listed below for one fee. The fee for the monthly session is $15 for members and $30 for non-members. The cycling classes are held in the cycling studio, all other classes are in the fitness studio.

NEW!  TRX Circuit  Thursday; 6 - 6:45 pm

TRX classes use the TRX suspension training system for a full-body workout. With TRX, your body creates the resistance for resistance exercise.  Come learn how to use the TRX bands in this introductory class.

Ropes Circuit Tuesday 6—6:30 pm

This class will consist of an intense series of 30 second intervals utilizing various exercises involving the battle ropes, free weights, and various plyometric movements.

Group Cycling Monday 5:15 pm, Wednesday 6:15 am, Friday 6:15 am (45 minutes)

Burn calories and improve cardiovascular endurance in this non-impact class. Class provides motivating music and is modified for all levels!

Boot Camp Wednesday; 5—6:00 pm

An interval class that mixes cardio and strength training. Target a variety of muscle groups with each exercise! Modifications will be provided for all levels.

Body Bar Monday; 5—6:00 pm

Our body bar class emphasizes full-body conditioning through every range of motion. This class focuses on muscular strength, stamina, and agility.

Kettlebell Tuesday; 5—6:00 pm

Build strength and endurance throughout the entire body. Each movement incorporates a variety of muscle groups which will create a leaner, tighter figure.

Core & More Mon.; 6:15—7:00 pm

Everybody wants better abs! But more than just looks, strong abs help contribute to overall core strength. This class has hit ‘em hard abdominal work firming up transverse, obliques, and rectus abdominis. Other muscle group exercises may be included in the class.

Sculpt Thursday; 5—6:00 pm

This class will provide a variety of free-weight exercises that will tone and tighten the entire body. The use of high repetitions and lighter weights will allow each participant to build strength, add definition, and reach his or her strength goals.

Restorative Stretch Wednesday 9:15—10 am

The class begins with dynamic stretches, which warm the body and increase flexibility through movement. Restorative stretch helps maintain mobility, prevent injury and increase physical performance.

NEW Yoga - Wednesday 5:30—6:30 pm

Session 1:  January 3 - February 7   Session 2:  February 21 - March 28

The Oil City YMCA offers YOGA in 6-week sessions with Tracy Pettit! Purchase a YOGA package for $25/members or $50 for Non-members. Drop in for $5/members or $10/non-members per session.

SilverSneakers Fitness Program

The nation's leading fitness program for older adults. Available to qualified members of a participating Medicare health plan. Check with your health plan provider to see if you qualify. Ask at the YMCA Membership Desk for details.

Monthly Fee for the following SilverSneakers® classes: free for YMCA Members, SilverSneakers® and Silver and Fit Members, $25 for non-members.

  • SilverSneakers® Classic—Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers® ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support. Please wear athletic shoes, comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water. Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:15-9:00am.
  • SilverSneakers® Circuit—Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers® ball are alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises. Please wear athletic shoes, comfortable clothes and bring a bottle of water. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30-9:15am.
  • SilverSneakers® Splash—Activate your urge for variety. Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination. Please wear water shoes and bring water in a plastic bottle. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11:45 am-12:45 pm.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

For individuals having completed Phase I and Phase II. Program offered between the hours of 7:30 and 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Monthly fee $13 members/$25 non-members.

Healthy Friends Program

The perfect program for those who have completed therapy or who need to begin a regular exercise program. Receive guidance and support to help you become stronger and healthier. Offered between the hours of 7:30-9:45 am on M/W/F.

  • Level 1: $15/Members & $40/Non-members monthly
  • Level 2: $20/Members & $45/Non-members monthly

Learn to Run a 5K

Become stronger, healthier and faster with each step!  Pick up your training schedule at the front desk.  Schedule your running sessions with Katie Port.  All ability levels are welcome.  Sign up with a friend and stay committed together.  This program is ongoing. Register now for $20.

Personal Coach

Train three times a week by appointment with a personal coach. Monthly fee $50 members/$75 non-members.

Wellness Center Orientation

FREE for members by appointment.

Fitness Assessment

Under the direction of a YMCA Trainer, you'll ride a stationary bike to help assess your cardiovascular fitness and endurance. You will also be weighed and measured along with a flexibility, strength and endurance test. This will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and help you to determine a work out plan to achieve your fitness goals. FREE for members by appointment.
